Just curious who out there might have soem crazy and creative PR ideas.

Examples: Like an exterminator business with a giant plastic cockroach on top of their service vehicles, or a press conference held by a comedy troupe in character and costumes, etc...

Trying to get my creative juices flowing for next years campaigns...

Maybe it would be easier to brainstorm creative stragegies if we knew what we were brainstorming for. What's the client?

I was looking for generalities. I am in a comedy troupe and promoted live music and theater for years and years. Looking for creative ideas for promoting beyond the obvious.

press is always looking for what angle is new....

i.e. would it make for a good "night" out type of story for entertainment sections... news (print & tv) are dying for great valentines day stories right now... can you tie it in to that somehow?

can you partner up with any big-time celebrities for those types of outlets?

do you have any interesting personal stories within the troupe?? there are great publications/news services geared towards different demographics...

basically just getting your name and website out there will help. it doesnt have to be a piece on the general troupe, but a facet of it in which you can plug the name.

getting a timely story is of utmost importance as well... (knowing what the media is working on. mags are on spring stories, news is on valentines day, etc. if it doesnt tie in they probably wont be that interested bc it could be a story that they could hold on to until they need to fill a spot. you dont want your story to be one that they hold on to, but one that is timely and relevant only for said amount of time.

          hope this helps.
